What is Allulose?
We use a natural sweetener called allulose, which has a fraction of the calories per gram than that of a typical carbohydrate. Allulose is a real sugar found in things like figs and maple syrup.
What are Net Carbs?
Net carbs are the number of carbohydrates that are absorbed by your body. When calculating net carbs, you subtract fiber and sweeteners like Allulose and Stevia from the total number of carbs, which is how our products are low carb and keto friendly.
How do Slate Cans have 0g added sugar?
Slate Cans have 1g sugar and 0g added sugar. We filter out milk’s natural sugars (lactose) using a process called ultrafiltration. With this method we're able to create lower sugar, higher protein products.

Yes, Slate is nut free! Our canned products are produced at nut free facilities. Our mixes and cookies, while do not contain nuts, are produced at facilities that may allow nuts.
Is Slate soy free?
Yup! Our products are soy-free as well.
Are Slate products keto friendly?
Yes! All Slate products have 1-3g net carbs depending on the flavor and are all keto-friendly.
Which Slate products contain caffeine?
Our Mocha Latte and Vanilla Latte contain 175mg of caffeine. Our Classic Chocolate, Dark Chocolate, French Vanilla, and Mix Sticks, are caffeine-free.
What is ultrafiltration?
Ultrafiltration is a process that filters out the lactose sugars found in milk. It also removes some water and allows us to create a more protein-packed, lower sugar product.
What is the source of protein in Slate products?
The protein in our products is all natural from the milk itself! Due to the process of ultrafiltration, we are able to increase the amount of protein to 20g without adding any external protein sources.
