What are Net Carbs?
Net carbs are the number of carbohydrates that are absorbed by your body. When calculating net carbs, you subtract fiber and sweeteners like Allulose and Stevia from the total number of carbs, which is how our products are low carb and keto friendly.
How do Slate Cans have 0g added sugar?
Slate Cans have 1g sugar and 0g added sugar. We filter out milk’s natural sugars (lactose) using a process called ultrafiltration. With this method we're able to create lower sugar, higher protein products.

Yes, Slate is nut free! Our canned products are produced at nut free facilities. Our mixes and cookies, while do not contain nuts, are produced at facilities that may allow nuts.

What is ultrafiltration?
Ultrafiltration is a process that filters out the lactose sugars found in milk. It also removes some water and allows us to create a more protein-packed, lower sugar product.
What is the source of protein in Slate products?
The protein in our products is all natural from the milk itself! Due to the process of ultrafiltration, we are able to pack with protein without adding any external protein sources.
